You are the ruler of a small kingdom in the Warring States Period. The sages Kongzi, Mozi, Mengzi, Laozi, Zhuangzi, Xunzi, and Han Feizi have come to you offering advice on how to rule your kingdom. Whose advice will you take and why? There is no right answer; you will be graded on your comprehension of the views of the sage you preferred, and the reasoning behind your decision. You may also refer to other views that you did not choose to follow, and the reasons why you did not choose them, but this is not essential.
Papers must be a minimum of 1000 words long. You do not need to use secondary sources, but if you do, you must use some standard citation method, such as MLA, APA, or Chicago. Papers are due Friday, July 22 at 11:59 p.m. Late papers will be penalized 5% per day.
Name on first page only in top left. 12-point Times New Roman double-spaced, 1-inch margins all around. No headers or footers. The reason for this is that I blind-grade the papers. Please do not put subheadings or other devices such as executive summaries in your paper.
