ultimate goal of science – Hire Academic Expert

The ultimate goal of science is to provide a single theory that describes the whole universe. We currently have only partial and subdivided theories which we hope to unify into a single general theory of everything in the future.

A scientific theory is achieved through the application of the scientific method. A scientific theory must satisfy 2 requirements – it must accurately describe a large class of observations on the basis of a model that contains only a few arbitrary elements, and it must make definite predictions about the results of future observations.

We first learned about the scientific method when we were at elementary school/level. Stephen Hawking included a whole chapter on the scientific theory to emphasize on our evolving or progressing knowledge of the universe. Meaning, a theory is always provisional, hence, it should always maintain its consistency on describing and predicting properties and/or phenomena, otherwise, it must be revised or repealed, even if it is a thousand-year old “truth.”
