Over the next nine weeks, we will start in the foundational concepts of organizational design and leadership, then transition into the completion of a series of tools to analyze your current organization. After each step of analysis, it will be up to suggest a new innovation that can maximize or address the area were are discussing. At the end of the analysis journey, you will bring all of your ideas together into the OOP – the map towards organizational effectiveness.
In order to optimize an organization, we must first analyze and understand the organization. Kates (2017) gave us a phenomenal framework to analyze our current organization design through. I would recommend analyzing the organization from at least the NEXT level up of leadership from where you are now. Put yourself in the shoes of your supervisor (or the CEO) and let’s get started.
