Emergency Preparedness Plan

Emergency Preparedness Plan
a.Every year, there are disasters and emergencies across the country and around the world both natural disasters and man-caused disasters and now the pandemic as well.  It is important to be prepared for emergencies.  Decide on a plan that can be beneficial to you and/or your family (i.e., tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, snowstorms, vehicle preparedness kit, etc.)

Conduct an Internet search to find information to create an emergency preparedness plan.  To assist you in getting started, I have provided a couple of documents along with links to several videos and additional documents.  There is much more information provided on the Internet.

b.Using Microsoft Word, create a 5-7 paragraph research paper on your findings; cite 3 4 sources.  The first paragraph should be an introductory paragraph; the last paragraph should be a summary paragraph. Add another page; include 2-3 graphic images that support your findings.  (You may incorporate the images throughout the paper if you prefer.)

Format the paper using MLA style (or APA style).  If you use the MLA style, you may use the MLA template that you created in Word module 2 to format the paper using the MLA style > header, heading, Times New Roman font, font size 12, double spacing, first-line indent, and hanging indent for the resources on the Works Cited page, etc.  If you use the APA style, you may use the APA style template in Microsoft Word.

Be sure to check for and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  Use a title of your choice for the paper.

c.Save the paper into your Final Project folder using the filename YourLastName_Prepare for an Emergency.
